Where do we go?

We fly over our house all the time. Click on the big picture to see which one is ours.

In this shot, taken in 2005, you can see our new shop building right in the center of the photo.
Nancy took this picture.  We are looking northeast.

About 25 miles west of Spokane is Grandpa and Grandmas farm.

On 4/19/03, we flew to Sandpoint, Idaho.

On 5/10/03, I flew to Ione, Wa with my plane partner, Ted.

In Wilbur, Wa. on 6/8/03

Just above the housing development, you can see the grass runway at Seven Bays.  I've made a couple of landings and three takeoffs from this field.  This is on the Columbia River.  We take our motorhome to the Two Rivers Resort a couple of miles upstream.

In Kellogg, Idaho

In St. Maries Idaho/September 2003

Shawn and I went to Moses Lake on Sept. 21, 2003 to mix it up with the big stuff.  Yep, that's a Boeing 777 behind us.

And we parked right next to a NASA Boeing 737.

Cessna N3082U received her FAA Airworthiness Certificate on October 3, 1963.
Forty years later, to the day, my friend Mikey and I flew her to Sandpoint, Idaho on
a gorgeous (but breezy) Friday morning.

Bonners Ferry, Idaho on 4/10/04.

Wenatchee/Pangborn Airport on June 12, 2004

McMinnville, Oregon on August 20, 2004

Cruising past Mt. Hood on the way back from MMV on August 20, 2004

Hanging out at Priest Lake, Idaho on October 3, 2004.
( By the way, I almost forgot, this is 3082U's 41st anniversary of her airworthiness certificate.)

In Rosalia, Washington (where?) on March 6, 2005.  A tiny town just south of Spokane.
There's nothing here except a poor Cessna 150 sitting on three flat tires.

Ted and I zipped off to "Wings over Republic" in September 2005.

On approach to Cavanaugh Bay Airport, Priest Lake Idaho on October 22, 2005.

Shawn and I on the ground at Cavanaugh Bay

At Ephrata, Washington on February 19, 2006.

Over the Mt. Spokane Ski Resort on March 12, 2006

Over a scattered fog layer on March 30, 2006 near Davenport enroute to Wenatchee.
I could see the clear skies ahead.

On the ground at Chelan Airport June 3, 2006

Lake Chelan on departure/June 3, 2006

We've been camping by the Lower Granite Dam Airport for over 20 years.
I've always wanted to land a plane there.

On May 5, 2007...I did it.

N3082U parked at the north end of 00W/Lower Granite State.

It's the green time of year.
Of course, no goal is without sacrifice-this landing and takeoff cost me two rock nicks on the propeller!

In the air over central Oregon on the way to the Alvord desert.
August 11, 2007.  David Herman took this picture from his Cessna 150.

Tied down on the dry lake bed at the Alvord Desert Oregon, August 11, 2007.

The group enjoying the 'high-wing' shade at the Alvord Desert.

If you look real close, you can see the line of airplanes on the edge of the dry lake.

I stopped over in Pendleton, Oregon on the way home from Alvord on August 12, 2007.

On June 20, 2008 I flew to Kelowna, BC in Canada on my first
international adventure.  Here's a shot in front of the Kelowna Flying Club.

Taking off from Kelowna runway 16.  Heading for home.
Tony Roberts snapped this shot.

Over downtown Kelowna on my departure back to the States on June 22.

Clearing US Customs at Oroville, WA. on June 22, 2008.

In Yakima, WA on September 13, 2008.

At Vista Field in Kennewick.  April 5, 2009.

With Jim Leighty at Richland.  June 27, 2009

Over the Capitol in Olympia on February 19, 2010

The Pacific Ocean near Hoquiam on February 19, 2010

Mt. St. Helens on February 20, 2010

A close up of the Mt. St. Helens crater on February 20, 2010.
We're about three miles away and 1,00 feet above the top ridge.

Mt. Rainer on February 20, 2010.  Fifteen miles away.

The same mountain when I flew by on March 20, 2010 in "the Rocket"
on my Spokane to Seattle adventure.

Here is that mountain again.  In the background from my parking spot at Boeing Field.

They'll let anybody use this airport.  That's a Boeing 787 Dreamliner behind the Rocket.

At the Boeing Field Terminal.  Nothing much happens here on a Saturday.
The sign says "open for business" but the little cafe was closed.

So...we drove the free Galvin Flying Center car to the Seattle waterfront for lunch.

Not quite as "urban" as Seattle, but on June 19, 2010
my friend Mikey and I flew to Colville, Wa.

Leaping off the runway at Electric City (Grand Coulee Dam Airport) on
June 22, 2010.  My friend Dave took this snap from the taxiway
to his hangar.

Getting a little higher.

And I'm off!

In Prosser on February 20, 2011

In Omak, WA on November 6, 2011
